A customer asks you a question and you are not sure of the answer. You feel the customer expects you to know the answer. What would you be MOST likely to do?

Practice answering the following question from the McDonald's Assessment:

  • A customer asks you a question and you are not sure of the answer. You feel the customer expects you to know the answer. What would you be MOST likely to do?
  • See if you can get them to answer their own question by talking it through with them.
Bring someone into the conversation who can answer their question.
Explain that I do not have the information to answer their question but that I will get back to them shortly with the answer.
Make up an answer to satisfy them now and plan to correct it later if needed.
Deflect the question and focus their attention on a different issue.

When answering this question on the McDonald's Assessment, answer honestly. Indicate the response that most accurately represents your personal experience. Full-length instructions for the assessment can be found here: McDonald's Assessment Instructions.
